    Hi everybody,

I would like to change or delete the splash screen on an MSI CR620 notebook. Usually you can simply disable it in the BIOS but this model does not allow that. I downloaded the latest bios from the MSI website but I can not open it. It is a new AMI Aptio BIOS and I tried all the available tools on this site (AMI BCP, MMTOOL) but I get the error code 100003h ROM ID FILE IS NOT A ROM FILE. I extracted the bios (using afudos) from a working machine (hoping I would be able to open that one) but the extrated bios is only 2 Mb (while the one on the site is 4 Mb) and the 100003h error keeps popping up. Does anyone have a tool to open the newer AMI bios files.

I have changed splash screens on numerous dell machines (using the phoenix editor) so I have some (limited) experience.

    Thanx in advance,

    Kristof
