recently installed Windows 8.1 with updates and installed few programs for example comodo, 7-zip etc. Programs are getting installed fine but, changes like when you open Control panel it shows in Category, i change it to Large icons or small icons and it changes, but when i close it and open it again it again shows in Category View. i have installed 7-zip and it does not show up in right click context menu on any folder. I have reinstalled it and also opened 7-zip to check it has check box enabled for right click context menu (which is already checked). I have installed Comodo and it does not start itself when computer restarts but has to be opened to show up in system tray. I have manually added it in startup file, but haven't restarted yet to check if it works or not. So why are my changes not getting saved and how do i fix it? please help.
