With win 11 that is gone, and since 1903 > 1909 or 19041 > 2 > 3 > 4 by small EP too. And normal Enterprise is supported for approx. the same amount of time as LTSC lovers switch to the latest one too.
people who need a new version of LTSC because of better compatibility with newer soft- and hardware, will have the same problem with LTSC 2021 in only a few years.. -andy-
It is hard to guarantee that Microsoft will not abandon the feature update in the form of EP in Windows 11
Win 11 is announced to only get one annual feature update afaik, whether it's by full upgrade, EP, the update stage packs or feature experience pack doesn't matter
Lot of talk here about the 10yr support cycle of the IOT version. It's a little odd, as most here would likely update long before the support cycle even got close... I could be wrong.
Also a lot of attempts to tell people that they shouldn't care about 10-year support, shouldn't care about LTSC, or shouldn't care about Windows 10 at all. It's getting kind of annoying. Maybe, maybe not. LTSC 2021 will work perfectly on a Ryzen 5000 PC, and such PC is going to be relevant even 10+ years later.
No link to download and no homebrew. It's just sever 2022 turned to Entrprise LTSC, just 30 seconds of my time "wasted" to check if the certs where compatible. They works also on 2004/20h2 (tested) and I guess on 19Hx (not tested yet)
Dictionary: home-brew [ hohm-broo ] noun 1. sever 2022 turned to Enterprise LTSC. 2. beer or other alcoholic beverage made at home.
I think you need a better dictionary. Changing the activation of a live system has nothing to do with a custom assembled iso image. First because there is not any iso/wim at all, just a license change like going from server standard to datacenter or from win 10 pro to win 10 enterprise
