    Sorry, I missed that. I need new glasses :D
    In this case you should boot a cd with HDD Regenerator to fix that bad sector. I guess it's only one bad sector, maybe more, but due the size (8KB) I believe you have just one bad sector.

    Dont waste time with the regenerator, the disk is gone time for a replacement.

    Have a data entry computer at work ( runs an invintory program ) that just dumps the info to the server, so the HD has nothing except the special program and OS on it.. Every month or so it crashes with harddrive errors since the harddrive is toasted. Chkdsk /F, reboot and it finds a ton of sector errors and flags/ corrects most of them and it's good for a while. It's kinda funny we have kept it running like that almost a year, but it's an XP machine so it is done after April.. It's an Optiplex 755 tho, so I may try to get my hands on it since it's super easy to upgrade them to Win 7
