Hi, I have a legitimate Windows 8.1 Pro if I did upgrade to Windows 10 can I somehow backup (Microsoft Toolkit?) the activation and then setup a fresh Windows 10 and restore the activation again?
And Again: All info is stored at MS Servers during the Upgrade. You cannot revert the backup offline, since being online is mandatory. So what would be the use of that backup ?
If you updated it to Windows 10 with 10240 by running the update in Windows you should just be able to fresh install Windows 10 and have it activate.
Where do i say that? After the Upgrade was successfull, means it's activated ... you can do fresh install on that very machine. It only needs internet contact to get activated.
I get it now thanks, but what if I can't connect to the internet during installation (because of my network driver not being installed yet) can I activate it afterwards?
so we, ourselfs, putting a beacon (with very uniq id each) on to our PC's, which going to call MS every bootup (also after hardware changes)? sweet! is there info on offline installation yet? edit: let me answer my question — offline is fine (just installed ent x64, activated it with KMS, testing)
