Close app and send me back to desktop?

    I cant seem to find a setting for this? It always takes me back to the start screen and I have to click on desktop again. Annoying.

    I guess no setting exist or this is not possible?

    You could go back to Desktop if you use 3.party Start Menu like Classic Shell.

    I use StartIsBack it will take you to desktop instead of start screen:)

    Your suggestion wouldn't make much sense as option :rolleyes:, so 3rd party for ya.

    I am using Start8. Does that have some kind of option I am missing and not seeing?

    to close an open APP on Windows 8 just be on the Metro Screen and move your mouse
    cursor to the left upper corner. it will popup a little window of the open app or all open apps.
    simply right click on the thumbnailed image of the app and click "close".
