A few questions about the P5K Premium/WiFi-AP - rev. 0802: AMI BIOS hack... thing. 1. I have (wait for it...) a P5K premium. I also have 3GB of memory (the other module went to a better place...). Will this work with it? 2. I'm also wondering how I would go about flashing it. Do I place the .ROM on a CD then run the flash utility in the BIOS? 3. I already have an OEM version of Windows Vista running on my PC. Its been working fine so far, until a few days ago-- its asking me to activate (WTF?) use AWDFLASH or AFUDOS..depending on bios type. Flash from DOS. EZFlash does not always flash these bios..
p5n32-e sli 1601/1602 here does not work it posts fine but doesnt boot into vista it stops @ vista bootscreen
It is a touchy board, but that's not very likely. This is a pretty soft mod, just adds the marker at the end. Let us know if it works.
Thanks for testing those bioses and letting us know shift-del. You're right about Nvidia chipsets for Intel cpu's getting hot. I have 680i chipset and I stuck a little fan on the chipset heatsink to help it cool more.
