Nice tool indeed, well written. I've updated all my virtual machines with it Installed, Removed, Reinstalled. I've tried also to install another tool Visual C++ v56.exe and cleaned with your, then Reinstalled everything with your tool. It's very very fast. Thanks for your gift.

Prologue. Skip if not interested.

I updated Visual Studio 2017 from 15.4.5 to 15.5.0. The initial installation and only major updates to Visual Studio 2017 install out of date versions of Visual C++ 2013 redistributables even if newer versions are present on the system.

I was able to hit an out of range error with your Visual c++ AIO installer following these steps:
1. I uninstalled all Visual C++ 2013 redisributables using Programs and Features to fix the issue from prologue.
3. I then tried reinstalling only Visual C++ 2013 redistributables as the rest was already installed and up-to-date:
a. I unchecked uninstall old runtimes;
b. Under both Install x86 and x64 runtimes I made sure only Visual C++ 2013 both minimum and additional are checked.
c. Clicking Next led to Out of range error.

 

Until can not install visual c++ 2013 64 bit version runtimes, I rebooted my PC.

 

@wilenty I've tested your directx tool everything is ok wonderful job.
I think we need only another tool ".net upgrade" one then maybe It will became a single powerfull tool to update with one shot .net, directx and visual c++.

Today I've also tested everything on a very old Windows XP install everything has gone perfectly thumb up!

I asked you a few things because I wanted to create my installation of several drivers/programs.

Now can you explain where you download .cab files? I want to know how to create own vc++ .msi package.

 

I understand your embarrassment. I just wanted to ask how you create it, I did not ask for the source.

When I asked @abbodi1406 about the same things, he had no problem with answering. He doesn't know how @burfadel or ricktendo modify the .msi file to allow installation so I asked you and @burfadel.
