It is unclear to me what, if anything, needs to be done when a new release comes out. I installed version 2017-12-21 and since then have seen 2017-12-23 and 2017-12-25 released. Do I need to do a complete uninstall and reinstall? The versions of Installed vs. MSI do not seem to have changed. Having release notes as part of each download would help.

i emailed them about it to take it down and told them this was the only place to get the real release

 

The author sent it to us each and every time so before you accuse us of posting a trojan, you should be really, really, sure.

Really? I know someone, who I can't mention, who did pretty good with donations. You're not getting rich, but I don't see people paying for it either as it's a more or less a one time use.

 

Actually I'm following your progress, watching this thread indeed. But I haven't used/tested your versions/builds cause I don't have the time or need to.

Regarding those false positives, I know you are not introducing malware in them. Same happens to other projects in here, well even the famous Windows Firewall Control by binisoft, yes that famous WFC we all know lol, has issues with FP cause the dev is in the same position as you: he needs to purchase a digital sign. But it's very expensive.

Don't bust a gut on this matter. Put a warning in the first post. Let users take it or leave it. Also don't reply any complain or observation about A/V false positives.

 

After installing 12.25 (and even 12.24) version of ypur app, I get this error every minute. I did uninstalled and installed again both versions, but nothing changed. Why and where is the error in your app?

 

Does Microsoft even allow to sign a repack of their intellectual property?
