The TH2 is supposed to come with new Skype messaging features, Cortana for India, bug fixes, etc. If those are actually what the overhaul entails it is not going to be a milestone from what the Insiders are running at the moment. I can be patient enough with MS to make it a stable operating system before releasing it to the public.
But the thread title was correct, MS postponed it making it change. But don't worry, there will be 10 new posts about the same thread on the 10th, like what happens all the time. The OP should just add - Discussion to the title, as these don't seem to get removed.
It means the first week of November is still on the table. I am dying to see the new features coming with 'Build 10586'.
More rumor: According to the latest rumors on the matter, Microsoft plans to launch it next week — as part of the Patch Tuesday release of updates. This month the date falls on November 10, and this is when we can expect the launch of Threshold 2, also known as the November Update. And a reliable source from China (I wonder who) that the software titan has already completed work on this update, with the company now working on the delivery system. With the focus to ensure that the update process runs smooth for all users. Threshold 2 will be shipped just like all other cumulative updates for Windows 10. What this means is that users can expect a seamless installation and deployment experience, unlike new builds of the operating system that reinstall the OS from scratch. That said, Threshold 2 will require a reboot, but the installation will be fast and breezy, without any changes to apps and files. Microsoft is specifically targeting Windows 10 RTM users with this update — those that deployed build 10240 of the operating system upon its launch in July. They will be directly upgraded to Threshold 2, which will now become the default installation. Hardware will also make the transition to this new version of Windows 10, and all new PCs and devices sold with the operating system preinstalled will come with Threshold 2. Roll on November 10, then! Let us know if you are excited about upgrading your Windows 10 installations to Threshold 2, and do you feel this update brings the right blend of features?
