Hi everyone, I have a compaq presario cq61 -310sa laptop Problem is when powered up, the fan kicks in, the dvd drive reads the Windows 7 disc, the screen is totally Blank NOTHING! The keyboard gives of a 'blink code' and blinks twice, which means from the Compaq website 'bios corruption failure' I have tried to flash the Bios via a USB stick pressing Win key &'b' and it does seem to go in, but the laptop just gives off a selection of beeps for 2 minutes then nothing. I have tested the hard drive and RAM in another laptop, both working fine. Now looking on the compaq website it does offer a BIOS update in which it fixes a bug of the screen going blank!!! Question is , IS there any software I can use on a USB stick to get the BIOS working once more? Compaq bios is sp48895.exe Once Extracted with winrar I see InsydeFlashx64.exe. Any help would be most welcome, really want to get it working!!!
Ok, say the Bios is missing of not working, Is there a way of placing the Bios from Compaq on a usb? Any help please?
