    Good evening guys I found some cds from recovery for some old computers that I had from Compaq I would like to ask something if it is known of course either from here or from foreign forums. Can I run them as a virtual virtual machine that is on the vmware workstation in some way? Looks like this machine is a virtual ghost do you understand what I want to do exactly?

    If those are bootable cd's, I supposed you can create virtual windows 98/95 virtual machine, boot from those cd's and install them on the virtual machine

    This shows me. Isn't there a way for the virtual machine to think that it really is for this series of laptops that windows 2000 professional is going to be installed?

    Model is your Restore CD meant for?
    If you upload image we could take it for a test spin.

    @ccypruss000
    Question: how did you boot your Restore CD?

    However, with a emulator (PCem and x86box):

    True, and i just did a comparison with both with a Win 95 installation on a classic socket 7 - P/I-P55T2P4 - AMD K6/166.
    PCem is so much smoother imho, but 86box have more options.
