A quick question what gives people the most problems with KMS activation when speaking about OS versions .. Installing with retail version and making nano do the conversion for you ? or using a volume version?
Why conversion? Only installing GVLK is needed. Tested long time before installing WMC, which isn´t possible on VL version.
neither one. they all believe in an activator like the one from DAZ. That's the problem and this is the reason for so many false activators around. KMS is a sophisticated thing for most of the people and even the easy way to go with heldi's nano stuff confuses the most around.
Ok got it .. So you can install WMC after installing GVLK on retail copy with KMS activation ? Then after installing WMC what is the activation status and channel, retail?
This was the loophole some time ago. Activating Retail via KMS then installing WMC. Channel is Retail after installing WMC.
I have only used the retail Windows 8 pro with the pack or key but not KMS .. Then I bought 3 $14.99 promo codes .. so the KMS method maintains activation for the pro part for 180 days or WMC key prevails after it's install
Thanks for bringing me up to speed .. I slept through the whole KMS frenzy after the data dat revolution
That's the beautiful thing about this board you've got the high level discussions by the theorists and coders, then the testers discussions, then at the bottom threads like this one which for people who read it provide a real education... and all this is going on at the same time, sometimes in the same thread. that's why I'm here it's a most refreshing place ...T
