So they are like lifetime keys? I see most are limited to 1-2 years, so that sounds very nice if it is. Also, is it locked to a single install? That is, if I re-install/upgrade Windows later, can I just re-enter the key after I re-install? Thanks again!!
It's a 1 year license. I installed my version yesterday (10. February). My period ends 10. Feb. 2016. So your license will end 1 year after you installed/activated the software. Yes, its a 1 user on 1 pc lcense. After you activated/registered the code on ESET website and entered a valid email address, you will get an email with the ESET-username and password. You can use this to activate the software on later installations.
You got me wrong! I said the codes 'self life' has no time limit but should be activated within 12/15 months. As long as you use it on same machine for a year, I think there will be no problem or you can ask ESET forums about the licensing they can truly give a clarification.
I can confirm this is the case. There should be no problem reinstalling and entering the username and password sent to your activation email. Do not lose this email. I would recommend backing up the configuration through ESS8 which stores username and password and can easily be imported back to ESS8.
