it seems that esd can be deployed by dism,and,i also remember someone once told me that you can change .esd to .wim and replace the wim file in X:\sources directory,but i didn't try it,maybe you can try,good luck!

You can use install.esd (recovery compression) instead of install.wim in your installation media. We've been talking about it for about half a year now since win8.1 let us export to esd recovery compression. I don't know why these guys all decided to mock you. You've obviously not been reading here long enough to know that we've talked about it a lot. Guys we can haze people that should know better, but take it easy on the newer people.
can it convert directly or you must extract before? if its possible, can you write the command line to convert xxx.esd to xxx.wim? thanks.
It's the same export command: Code: wimlib-imagex export install.esd 1 install.wim --compress=maximum --check
