Sorry, had been away on a conference, both the test ended in a negative note , what ever i do ,i am able to keep all features only till i stick to Chinese language , when i switch to English, limitations creep in. since tito's post indicates this edition is going to be for a minor set audience and we can not expect a english version , we will have to live with what we have.
Hi I tried to install from an ISO made from your Delta and I got the following error The Software licensing Service reported that there is a mismatched between a policy value and information stored in the OtherInfo section. While coreCountrySpecific isn't popular around the world it's becoming the only one you can get in China. There are lots of Expats like me (and people coming shopping here) who would REALLY appreciate a way to use the licences that came with our laptops and be able to read what's on the screen.
unfortunately, core countryspecific can only be in Chinese. but if as you have now installed the frankinbuild, try the following Code: 1. slmgr -rilc 2. slmgr -ipk "your CS key" 3. slmgr -ato
please try the above command in admin mode, also if you wish to use windows 8 only then isn't it better to use win 8 pro /enterprise with KMS ?
I tried that and it now says that it is activated. Thanks a lot! Really I just want to be able to have it activated properly and in English. IS there any hint as to why countryspecific is so much harder to change the language on? I'd really like to try and find an answer if possible. The work you've already done on the frankenbuild is awesome.
I can see what you mean now as it won't update. I have no idea why the fact that some people speak a different language to than the official one in a country is such a hard thing for Microsoft.

Why would anyone want CoreCountrySpecific instead of the MSDN version? Or is this just as an experiment?

@Fai88 Does your PC comes with Core Country Specific?? If so & you want to change the language from Chinese to English, then simply its not possible without frankenbuilding.
