I don't believe it - I just installed again and when I tried to do slmgr -rlic it didn't work!!! I got an error Unrecognized option -rlic
This is harder than it should be...

 

that because of the typo

wrong - slmgr -rlic

correct - Slmgr -rilc

 

Whoops! Typos are easily done.....
It accepted it now but still won't install all 23 updates first time. It must be just one or two that are causing a problem so I'll try to install one at a time..

EDIT Nearly installed all updates... After installing KB2770917 suddenly my Windows 8 Core Single Language watermark became just Windows 8... it still says CoreSingleLanguage with slmgr -dlv though..

 

Sodding computers.....

All updates now successfully installed - though not all together as something kept failing, but as soon as I installed one at a time everything went through OK.... GRRRR

Thanks for that. I know W8 is still in Beta but it was just that I never had any of these update issues with Enterprise, Pro or Retail Core? Maybe it's because there were so many updates to install at once..

I'm trying this method for Turkish. But ofcourse I'm using tr_windows_8_x64_dvd_915425.iso as source.
Therefore getting this error;

xdelta3: target windowchecksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT


I suppose I have to change core.to.coresingle.xdelta file but I don't konow how? Can yolu help me?

 

I suggest you to first convert English core to CoreSingleLanguage then install and ADD your language inside windoes.

I just resolved the same problem with the same computer (italian). After i bought it I decided to do a clean install of windows 8 core. After much trouble I resolved the problem:
Format a pen drive (max 16 GB) in fat32 with diskpart and select active
Extract windows 8 Pro ESD ISO 64 biot (iso downloaded with the windows upgrade assistant) and delete install.esd file in the sources directory
Export the Core image with imagex (or GImagex) from install.wim downloaded from msdn (in your case en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso)
Put the core image (after renaming "install.wim") in the sources folder
Load this pendrive from boot and do a clean install, the product key is not needed because it loads from bios

i don't know the differences about the core and the coresinglelanguage, but my method worked for me

 

sorry, my pc is s56c series. In my laptop if i go in winver it displays windows 8, not windows 8 single language. In the UX32vd winver displays single language or not?

 

Core is just the standard Windows 8 (not Pro)! CoreSingleLanguage is country specific, means you could install just 1 Language and couldn't download a 2. and install and use.

 

only this differences? Then my method probably works also with Asus UX32vd

 

I'm not sure. It's depend on the Product Key which is hard coded in the Laptops BIOS.
