If I say "Hey Cortana" it responds to me and answer my questions but only with a text, but if I click on the microphone it responds to me with a voice, so does any one has this issue ?
no matter what I do Cortana refuses to speak. She can obviously hear me, and she responds to my voice, but is dead silent with her replies.
I didn't had this issue in Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9926, it ran flawlessly, but after updated to 10041 this issue occurred and it continued to appear in the following builds: 10049, 10051 and now in 10056!!!
it worked fine for me in 41, but 49 and 51 were both builds I could not use because of another issue. 10056 seems OK, except no more lovely Cortana talk. Going to keep this build though, until the next one is released. lol
Me too, but I think that there's probably something wrong with Audio driver, so I hope that Realtek or whatever it is to push out a new (more stable) drivers!
There's nothing wrong with the drivers, its something broken within these Windows 10 builds. My sounds seem perfect, I already had an hour video chat in Skype today, and been playing back music just perfectly. They just broke something in Cortana and or something between Cortana and the sound drivers. I hope they keep releasing builds that addresses more bug fixes and performance enhancements over new features.
i never seen cortana work properly in any build......u have to wait for the final release and see it can do
Yeah, she hasn't worked proper for many requests, but since 9926-10041 she would always give me weather reports, she would sing to me when I asked her to, and she gave me all kinds of search results. She is still giving me the search results, but when its time to speak, she is dead silent, even though you can see her icon is busy, lol. She has no clue her voice is broken either, haha. Now looking back, what I wouldn't have given if that had happened to my..... err never mind....
I wondered if she has the voice actor from HALO but my speakers always remained silent. She never spoke to me in any 9xxx builds I tried.
