USB 3 drivers for windows 7 Hi mjgr33n That download link you gave from Intel doesnt work anymore... I tried downloading files from Gigabyte and added the drivers to both install.wim and boot.wim but with no success, still no mouse or keyborad control when trying to install windows 7 on the latest macbook pro. Been fighting this for days, please help. Thank you
I found most of the files from the Intel.com site self-executing which can be done after the O/S is installed Mohli
Will the generic USB3 drivers from W8.1 or W10 work for Win7? Has anyone successfully used these to support booting on different PCs? Wonder Woman indicated that it did not work for her. I want to use the generic drivers from W8.1 or W10 so my win7 recovery stick will support USB3 running it on different PCs.
@adric There are two versions for Intel USB 3.x drivers: one for 7 series (3rd gen) and one for 8 series and up (4th gen and up). You need to integrate both of them to boot on both systems.
I can boot with both systems, but the USB3 ports only work as USB2 on the T530 whereas the USB3 on the L460 works as USB3. If I boot my T530 with the Win2Go system which has the 6th gen drivers integrated and then install the T530 USB3 drivers and reboot, I get a BSOD, so I assume there's a conflict somewhere using both generation drivers. The Win2Go 7 system is installed in a vhd on the bootable flash.
I decided it wasn't worth the time to try and get the Win7 VHD to also support the USB3 ports on the T530 (3rd Gen), so I created a bootable flash with a W10 ltsb VHD which includes USB3 support out of the box. When booting the new flash, I can now use the USB3 ports natively on both 3rd and 6th Gen systems.
