Hi everybody. Let me start by explaining my problem: My computer uses Vista Ultimate 32 bit SP1. Whenever I use utorrent, the computer crashes and the BSOD mentions tcpip.sys. Also the following 2 sentences are also mentioned in the BSOD: STOP 0x000000D1 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL I googled for some time and I came a across a page on the microsoft website in which you can ask for a hotfix. The number of the hotfix I requested was: KB946776. A day later I received this hotfix from microsoft and i installed it. For a couple of hours the problem seemed solved but I just got the same BSOD again when downloading. The product version of my tcpip.sys at this moment is: 6.0.6001.22142 (this is after installing the hotfix of microsoft). Please tell me what to do. I have (personal) difficulties with reading (there are 23 pages in this thread and a lot of contradictions) so if there is someone who can tell step by step what to do I would appreciate it a lot! PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you in advance
Intersting problem. This is the first time anybody has had this problem on this forum. Sevearl questions... When reading on the microsoft support site, I noticed that the error is coused "on a Windows Vista-based computer when you unplug the network cable". So have you checked your cable and the connectors if they are connected well ? They might be cousing interuption in the circiut and cousing the problem. Have you installed the cracked tcpip.sys for x86 system ? If you have, did the problem ocured after you have installed cracktcpip.sys ? You can check for a succesifull installation of cracktcpip.sys in device manager. Open device manager and select "Show hidden devices" from the "View" menu. Under the "Non plug and play drivers" section there shell be Crack tcpip, that is if the installation is succesifull.
I just installed it, but I can't find it in the device manager, as you said. Maybe this is because the product version of my tcpip.sys has changed after I installed the hotfix? (I just got another BSOD.) Tonight I will reinstall Vista and try it again and I'll let you know about my progess. P.S It's a wireless PCI card of Sitecom (300N). I don't have any cables. I visited a website and there it said that this hotfix was originally intended for this problem, but it could also fix my problem because the origin of this problem was linked to eachother. But it did not work, unfortunately. If I install this cracktcpip after I reinstalled vista (and my tcpip product version is again 6.0.6001.18000), and it can be seen in the device manager under non plug and play drivers, is the problem then solved? Kind regards
In that case I haven't reinstalled Vista. I installed cracktcpip and I can find it in my device manager. Let's hope the BSOD stops. Thank you
I just got another BSOD, but now it mentioned another file. This time it was: netr28.sys 0x000000D1 Anyone an idea of what this may be?
As I found out the netr28.sys is Ralink Wireless Adapter RT2800 driver. It isnt a standard windows driver. So the problem is coused propably by the driver, or the wireless card it self. Have you tryed to download and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer ? If you have the latest drivers already, have you tryed to downgrade to an earlyer driver version ? Edit: Later I found some NT developers who have used debugers to track this driver problem came to conlusion that it is a wrong IRQ adresing in question. The adress the driver is trying to use is to high and out of range and does cousing the BSOD. Here is a semple of the debugers log: <!--StartFragment-->DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (0x000000D1) An attempt was made to access a pagable (or completely invalid) address at an interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually caused by drivers using improper addresses. If kernel debugger is available get stack backtrace. Petar, I've updated the driver of my wireless controller through Device Manager and everything is stable now. Thank you very much!
thanks for the info , i am going to reinstall it ... and check under "hidden devices " this time will post back to results (as well as if I see that BSOD again , but it sounds like not associated with crackTcpip.sys) edit: just installed, and checked under device manager (with hidden ones visible) and it shows up under plug n play drivers. So it is installed correctly now (it may have been before, I just didn't make the hidden ones visible) I will, once again, post back with anything in the next 24 hours or so.... thanks for the help petar!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been running solid for over 20 hours, i would say good to go, thnx again
I am getting the error 1275 blocked from been loaded what's causing this and anyway to get round it Vista ultimate 64 disabled integrity checks still not working
Please provide more details on the error you get... What is been blocked from loading ? Is it the cracked tcpip.sys ? When do you get the error..on system boot or... ?? Which file did you installed, and which gide did you used, if it is cracked tcpip.sys in question ??
Running Vista SP1 32bit utorrent constantly dropped my connection and by googling I found and installed CrackTcpipv744.zip. Utorrent still doesn't work correctly even though 4226 tcpip warning stopped showing up in event viewer. Instead, there is this warning: I see crack tcpip in device manager's non-pnp drivers and it seems to be working properly. ATM the startup option for it is set to automatic. There is an option named boot in the drop down box. Should it be boot? No blue screens. Never seen one and I've been using windows for... 15 years? I know this post lacks in information but any suggestion and ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance!
