Are you sure you have that one ? Wasnt official yet, will be at tuesday next week (you need to download and manual install it aint yet automatic). Pls look on the number you have if its really the same. And if not whats probably the case , install it and test if you still dont get the error
For a temporary and/or permanent solution copy the file tcpip.sys ver.18000 from system32/drivers folder to a temp folder. Install the update and replace the new one ver.18063 wtih the old one ver.18000. You will need to take ownership to do this. For now all seems to work with replaced tcpip.ys.
This ain't gonna work - already tryed hardcopying from various pre-patched tcpip.sys versions - no go. Bluescreen and/or error even before desktop shows up.
Use the original tcpip.sys ver.18000 and everything works perfectly. Do not use pacthed versions of tcpip.sys. It is working for me already 15 hours non stop, with no BSOD's and no 4226 error.
OK, it's working, but it's rather a temporar sollution I think, because I am nearly sure they have fixed some vulnerabilities and optimized the tcpip code in the newer 18063 one. Hope we gonna see the updated cracktcpip compatible with the new 18063 version soon!
Hey guys, I'm running a fully up-to-date install of Vista x64 Ultimate and I'm having some problems getting ReadyDriverPlus v1.1 to work. Every time I try to boot with it, I get an error about an invalid boot.bin file. Anyone got any suggestions/advice? Would be much appreciated so I can use a patched tcpip.sys
Hi Petar, Could you please upload your original "tcpip.sys ver.18000"? I have already updated mine and I don´t have it anymore...
So I'm just curious, why is the KB952709 update that has a new tcpip.sys file not in the Windows Update? It seems you have to go and get it manually. I'm not installing it until it shows up in Windows Update.
I don´t have the WU in automatic mode, I only do it manually... So, we need a new crack to the new tcpip.sys file...
If you ask me, do I need a new cracked tcpip.sys ? I would say, why ? Everithing seems to work nice this way. Install the latest update and replace the new ver. of tcpip.sys with ver. 18000
Why does a software manufacturer update his software ? Either to fix bugs/security holes or to add new features. Why does MS update tcpip.sys ? To either fix compatibility/performance issues or to fix security holes. IMHO it would be good to update the cracktcpip driver. I would feel a lot safer and happier without the need to roll-back to the older tcpip version.
Because it's a "reliability and performance update" patch, and MS tends to release those to MS Downloads first in order to give them a trial run. Consider such patches placed there, and not yet in WU, beta, since that's effectively, if not technically, what they are. More than once in the past, particularly with one reliability and performance patch which had a notorious problem, MS revs them before putting them out in final form on WU. This is actually a good thing so that only "enthusiasts" take the arrows, not the world at large. I passed on this one until it's fully cooked, particularly since there's nothing particularly compelling about it.
The new TCPIP.SYS .18063 is out via Windows Update KB952709. Seems better Ive got a 10mps increase in my 1gigabit LAN. Neeeed new cracked tcpip.sys 18063
