Is there any definitive fix to this yet? I've been running Vista x64 for a while now, and these Event ID 4226 show up in my Event Viewer enough to give me a headache. I'll tell you what I tried. I already tried the available patch + ReadyDriverPlus. The problem is that I'm dual booting WinXP and Vista x64. It simply does not work. Even if I set up ReadyDriverPlus properly, Vista still tells me that the driver is not signed and cannot boot. The only way possible that I can use the patch is if I press F8 on every single boot, and that's not simply unacceptable. Can anyone please offer any help and/or suggestions? Thanks!
Right click on the tcpip.sys and select properetis, you can find the ver. of the file under the details tab.
.x64 trouble Hi I have x64 Vista Ultimate & SP1 + all patches All my tcpip.sys are in the c:\windows\winsxs\amd64..... There are 3 version 18000, 18063 and 22167. I try replace all with cracked version but not work. Then I copy cracked tcpip.sys to c:\windows\system32 but also don't work. All other tcpip.sys was renamed to tcpip.sys.orig PLIZ HELP ME !!!!!!
Mine is 22167... which is the latest patch for it? I heard my friend telling me that there's a patch that doesn't require readydriver 1.1 installed. anyone have any idea?
cracktcpip.sys method does not need readydriver installed, but the latest working version is for tcpip.sys version 18000. for later, there is no update yet so it's no working. If you want to use cracktcpip.sys, you need to revert back to v18000 by replacing the tcpip.sys or uninstall this particular update.
Does anyone know if Windows Server 2003 has the limitation? I was thinking of setting up a dedicated machine for torrenting.
Hello Guys, Tried this half open program some days ago now, and it works perfectly I run on Vista 32b with a rev. 18063 tcpip.sys. The programs adds a digital signature that is considered valid by Vista (can be checked under 'details' in the digital signature panel). Checked with bcdedit that the integrity checks was still enabled upon OS start, so Vista does seems to consider the patched file valid. What is strange is the size of the file: from a 891 448 bytes-large original file, I have now a 882 216 bytes-large patched file. Seems a whole part of the file was dropped during the process. I believed this program was only patching the half opened maximum value Anyway, I'm using the computer normally for 3 days now, and did not noticed any problem. And of course, the 4226 Event disappeared from he system log Bye
I need more regular users to confirm this half-open.com patch... In the download page says: "Vista noSP/SP1(x86,x64)" So, this is for Vista sp1 or not? petar? anyone can confirm this?
Works with all versions! 32 + 64 bit. The different filesize is of the other signature, and it has "testsigning" enabled so the "DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECK" is no really needed. Its not used by half-open. So must be leftover from your previous tcpip patch installation. You can remove this by open cmd as admin and type in Code: bcdedit -deletevalue loadoptions greetz from Shadowchaser
