After 2.4 I am getting the error:

"The procedure entry point SMapLS could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNELL32.DLL."

Which, if i search for it, is a problem with WINMM.DLL which I have copied into the half-open fix folder because otherwise it states it is missing.

    Any ideas on this one?

Hey guys. I have setup my Max connections to 3000 and connections per torrent to 300.
Is there any danger to this? Will my ISP complain or anything?

can anyone upload the original tcpip.sys version 6.0.6001.18063? I dl the half-open limit fix v2.3b and didn't restore original file before patching it. Now my backup tcpip.sys is not the original file and i can't select anything in half-open limit fix v2.4 even after clicking restoring as they kept saying "as you have used previous half open etc etc"

    Thanks ^^
Is v2.4 without digital signature? I've use v2.4 and set the connections to 255 (which is the max i can get for v2.4, was able to get to 5000 or more in v2.3) and i had to disable driver signature during boot (v2.3 didnt have this prob). And although there's no event ID 4226 error, i keep getting event ID 4227 error every now and then. Is there a problem?

Edit: Tried v2.3b and still get driver unsigned problem. Does anyone have v2.3?

Don`t use v2.3 after 2.4. It may rewrite restore copy of tcpip.sys. Try to delete half-open.com signatures using certmgr.msc fromt tools directory and repatch, it`s must solve your problem.

ok i've deleted the half-open signatures, restored back the original tcpip and used v2.4 to set the connections to 255. Rebooted my com and bsod appeared. Rebooted again and choose start windows from last known good config and everything went well.

Will the bsod happen again next time? Why is there a bsod in the first place?

Event 4227 means that you are making to many outgoing connection atemps and there are none free ports left.
Recently opened ports that haven't been closed yet may be used again to make an outgoing connection.

This is what Event Viewer says:
    Code:

TCP/IP failed to establish an outgoing connection because the
selected local endpoint was recently used to connect to the
same remote endpoint. This error typically occurs when outgoing
connections are opened and closed at a high rate, causing all
available local ports to be used and forcing TCP/IP to reuse a
local port for an outgoing connection. To minimize the risk of data
corruption, the TCP/IP standard requires a minimum time period to
elapse between successive connections from a given local endpoint
    to a given remote endpoint.

The even 4227 usualy apears when you shut down the p2p program.
You can create a task that will inform you when it happens.

alright so i have been having issues with my internet when i had utorrent open. i am NOT a noob when it comes to tcpip and utorrent. i had this working fine in windows xp and no slow websites but as you know xp was a very simple fix not like vista. Before i go on i would like to say i have vista x86 ultimate sp1 with all of the updates to date.

So this is what i did i had the 6.0.6001.18063 tcpip.sys file installed do to the update and i did not want to use the other patch that requires you to use readyboot+, So i got the cracktcpip744 rar file and the original 6.0.6001.18000 that was posted here by petar i first copied over the cracktcpip.sys to the windows/system32/drivers folder then i ran the install.reg file tried to replace the tcpip.sys 6.0.6001.18063 with tcpip.sys 6.0.6001.18000 but could not, restarted the pc and then took ownership of tcpip.sys 6.0.6001.18063 and replaced it with tcpip.sys 6.0.6001.18000 and rebooted. I hope what i did was correct!!! it look like it working im not getting the 4226 event id anymore from what i can tell and utorrent max connection is set to 500 just to test.

I do have a few questions if everything is working fine.

1.) what is the net.half.open connection set to now? i know MS enforces like 10 dose this patch bring it up to 255??

2.) how can i check if eveything is working fine and the crack tcpip.sys and tcpip.sys is working fine?? i know for crack tcpip.sys you could use device manager to check i remember read it in one of the post but cant remember all the steps and i do not want to go through all 40 pages AGAIN?

3.) the net.max_halfopen is set to 8 in utorrent show i change it or leave it the same?

4.) should i change any other values in utorrent? because i get great speed and always have around 300kbps depend if its its seeded right!!!

    P.S

i know i installed it in a weird way that because i was having a bit of trouble taking ownership of the tcpip.sys file.

I've been using cracktcpip.sys the way you installed it and I had no issues.
Yes it is set to 255 as max alowed.
Open Device Manger and select View-->Show Hidden Devices.
Now you can see the cracktcpip.sys under Non-Plug and Play Devices.
For example if your connection has 512Kbit download speed you can setup your net.max_halfopen to 70, which is more than enought.
BTW. Set the bt.connect_speed to the same value as net.max_halfopen.
If you have higher download speed you can set this values higher (do a litle experimenting to find the optimal settings).
No need to set anything else.
