Would the half-open program work safely with these specs? Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack1 32-bit
Hi, the smilie is throwing me a little. So if I download half-open, I don't have to worry about getting the bluescreen and other problem people are talking about?
no i have vista 32bit with sp1 value set to 254 and everything is fine, but as i stated in my other post with the value at 255 i have to go though the F8 process
The patch works 100%, at least for me and several of my friends computers. Till now I didnt had any issues at all...
Hi to the expert here, i just done patching thru half-open.com, i am using vista sp1, 32bit, 18063, do i need to change the HKEY, if yes how to do it?thanks.
A question: Would it best to download and install the patch before or after install SP1? I asked on the page but I never got an answer and I'm not sure if anyone else had the same question. And if I remember correctly, I'm on WV 32.
Install SP2 and replace the new tcpip.sys (ver. 6.0.6002.16489) with the latest patched tcpip.sys (6.0.6001.18063).
petar - I know it will work, and I don't want to start the conversation all-over again about newest versions and patched security holes/improvements in them... I don't want to swap out for an older version, I wanted to ask if someone tested the half-open patch with the new tcpip.sys.
