Thanks to tcntad for posting all the uncompressed OEMs in one shot.... Thanks to urie for his RVM Integrator technique... it really helped alot... Thanks to <can't find name>... of merging all the Uncompressed OEM's with sushi's Multi-OEM pack I've successfully created Professional & Home DVD; SP3 + OnePiece's Post SP3 Updates, + Adobe Reader, Java + All Driver Packs 1) Unpack Genuine XP SP3 OEM to C:\XPOEM 2) Took all the uncompressed oembios, dumped them into Sushi's MultiOEM 7zip file and recompressed with 7z 2) Ryan VM's Integrator with Onepiece's Post-SP3 v4.4 Update AND MultiOEM by Sushi (which now has all the OEM files) 3) Ran nLite to Integrate Adobe Reader X & Java 4) Integrated Driver Packs.... 5) Re-Ran nLite to create a bootable ISO 6) Burned at 4x using IMGBurn Both discs work perfectly on a Lenovo Laptop, a Dell Laptop, and a HP Desktop. I am a little stuck with MCE2005, but I realized I pulled my copy off my TechNet account, which is NOT OEM. So I changed the PID to OEM, and its installing now on a Dell Laptop, but I already got an error of a file missing. I'm deciding if I should just do a reburn, its some ehixxx.dll file that I believe is a MCE only file. I'm debating doing what tcntad did, and make fully unattended discs, but since I wanted to do this back in September 2010 (See my early post), but just *now* getting around to looking at all of your advice... maybe it'll be another 3-4 months before I work on that Thanks everyone!
@ hadescx, you say you downloaded MCE there are two disks not one you need to add the CMPNENTS folder from mce disk 2 to root of disk 1 another point is RVM_Integrator can make your bootable ISO and you could have used it to add Adobe Reader X & Java as addons.
Thanks urie, I'm aware of the two discs for MCE2K5. The issue I am having is when SP3 was slipstreamed into MCE2005, it caused an error. The installation began to ask for ehiEPG.dll and it was unable to find it. Microsoft does not support slipstreaming into MCE2005, but I found a work around at: <removed since my post count is only 7 > User mtnwolf63 discovered when you slipstream SP3 into MCE2K5, it causes an error with file "medctroc.in_". After slipstreaming SP3, I replaced "medctroc.in_" using the original file from the Clean/Original Discs. The error is now gone! It seems to be trouble that once you slipstream SP3 into MCE2K5, it turns MCE into 2002. Currently, I've installed MCE2K5, twice, it installs perfectly, activates perfectly, but it lists as 2002. If you attempt to do a Roll Up update, it fails. I plan to have RVM_Integrator integrate SP3 or do it by the old fashioned switch command. I may also forgo SP3, then manually perform it at the end. Have you come up with any issues such as this with MCE 2005? How did your install go urie? Thanks!
@ hadescx SP3 slipstreaming is not officially supported on MCE ,Found this on another forum: Slipstream SP3 with MCE2005 - Solution
Thanks urie, So far it works fine on a my Dell Notebook & Lenovo Notebook. I only replaced: medctroc.in_, not all 3: medctroc.dl_, medctroc.in_, mediactr.ca_ It is a shame that Media Center 2005 requires so much leg work. I ran Media Center, and it says "Media Center 2005", but on windows it lists it as 2002. I can live with that. I know it isn't "pure". The next time OnePiece releases another PostSP3 update, I'll attempt it your way to see the differences. Thanks again everyone!
Thanks Tito for informing about the updated Oembios Tool from Freestyler..I have updated the First post...Freestyler is a huge encyclopedia about these things..You have any question or doubt just refer to him and you get your answers...
Sorry about that, I was doing some google searches and came across another really good thread, didn't notice it was also MDL. Sorry about that, thanks for the links btw!
thanks for this guide, made all XP HOME, XP PRO and XP MCE successfully. But, XP64 fails with c:/system32/$winnt$.inf not found, tried with all 4 isos available from the genuine XP 64 thread. anyone got any ideas, made all 32 bit versions successfully, and oembios files are independent of architecture, so it's not those.
My guess you need a 64-bit version of the setkey.exe utility, currently it is a 32-bit executable, once executed all references to c:/system32/$winnt$.inf are automatically rewritten to c:/syswow64/$winnt$.inf Let me see what i can do to help here (have to lookup the source)
Confused and Cant see to figure this out...please help Hi, I have been trying to get this working for over a week now! But no matter which method I use the serial number pop up still comes up every single time or it comes up invalid. I am using a OEM XPSP3 (2009) disc. I made an ISO file Extracted it to my desktop Added the Onepeice post SP3 update pack via RVM Integrator 1.6 Added the WINXP_MULTIOEM.RAR file, with oembios files(With OEM Logos and themes)via RVM Integrator 1.6 Added the Driverpacks via DPBase Then Made the ISO File\ Burned the ISO When I installed the OS (via DVD) the WINXP_MULTIOEM worked good...or so I thought. The logo was installed in the "my computer" properties and the serial was entered. But it was not preactivated and when I try to activate it it comes back with an "unauthorized" product key error. I followed the directions and really don't know where I have gone wrong. I would appreciate a little help if at all possible. I have also tried this via USB install but that always asks for the product key box to be entered. And does not install the logo. Has any one tried a fully working disc though RIS, GRUB or PXE?
Yes I have downloaded them all and inserted them into all of the correct folders. After I did that I used 7-zip and made a new .7z file to integrate it in.
Why would u do that? Unpack iso Slipstream updatepack slipstream sushis oem addon download oembios files from him or me, extract to correct folter slipstream drivers make new iso done.
