It was because a week ago I had never done it, but your instructions seem spot on, I think the confusion for new guys was that there are 2 methods in one thread and I got confused as I am sure the next guy will be too. Many thanks for taking the time to reply to a "fresh" guy like me.
Hi, I'm creating multi-boot multi-oem Windows XP with all drivers included. Thanks to your forum, I was able to succesfully create each single Multi-OEM - Windows XP Home Czech (XHCZ), Windows XP Professional Czech (XPCZ), English (XPEN) ... Then I put them together on one DVD using EasyBoot and txtsetup.sif: BootPath argument - so now I have the directories as follows: /XPEN/ /XPCZ/ /XHCZ/ /WIN51 /WIN51IC /WIN51IC.SP3 /WIN51IP /WIN51IP.SP3 and in one of these noticable files and folders are: /XPEN/I386/ /XPEN/I386/winnt.sif /XPEN/OEM/ /XPEN/OEM/bin/ /XPEN/OEM/FILESETS/ /XPEN/OEM/KEYS/ /XPEN/OEM/Logos/ /XPEN/OEM/OEMAUTO.EXE /XPEN/ntdetect.com /XPEN/setupldr.bin /XPEN/txtsetup.sif /XPEN/WIN51 /XPEN/WIN51IP /XPEN/WIN51IP.SP3 The installation is ok, but OEM won't start (can't see any black screen blinking in behind). It seems like the installation cannot find the OEM folder because now it's not in DVD root, but in /XPEN/ folder or similar. Is there some possible fix how to update Winnt.sif and OEMAUTO.EXE to adjust the PATHS? Thank you for reply
Hey guys, So I've just stumbled across this brilliant little gem of a tool, which sounds perfect for what I need, I just have two questions. 1) As I understand it, if your bios has SLP 1 strings in the bios then this method (will be using method 2) will automatically detect the SLP strings and auto insert the correct OEM key file without the user having to manually tell it to? 2) Can I use nLite to add software using nlite addon maker (by using silent switch commands) and tweak a few UI settings (i.e Add "Device Manager" to "My Computer context menu, ect) If so , would I do the following in this order: XP Source ---> SP3 Intergration via RyanVM ---> nLite Slimming + Adding Software ---> Updatepacks+Addons --->MultiOEM Addon ---> Driverpacks Any help would be great before I start, cheers.
To be honest most people I know would not touch Nlite, RyanVM Integrator can add all the update packs addons and switchless installers you need. check out online help through RyanVM Integrator You would be better asking such question on RyanVM Integrator forums.
Hey Urie, Thanks for the reply. I only really use nLite to customize the installation a little by adding tweaks like TCP/IP patch, adding Device manager to context menu, integrating default themes and making an unattended installation. Are there any tools that can do all of the above without using nLite? I'll look into the on-line help for RyanVM integrator and see if I can figure out how to make switch less installers that can be integrated with RyanVM's integrator. Would I add all the update packs and silent installers all in the same RyanVM session, and then integrate the MultiOEM addon in a separate seesion?
I have made a few videos on how to make your own disk and add the OEM Bios sets to the archive. I have included a "skeleton" of the files that allow you to make this possible, all that you need to do is add your XP OEM License ISO and the UnCompressed BIOS sets for your brand(s) that you need. There are a lot of credits, sushil1576 (for putting this thread together), tcntad (I finally made the time to make the guide) and Mr_Smartepants View attachment XP_OEM_GUIDE-2.txt
Thanks. My IE smartscreen filter blocks the video downloads for some reason. I am really suprised no one has uploaded a torrent for this though.
Yes I think this was a boob on my behalf. In my "skeleton" files those are still there for people to flesh out. I used OEM sources provided by tcntad, so I will edit the post above.
I'm uploading xp multiupload with logos htt***ps://mega.****co.nz/#!rghSXC4T!crh6p1iFq1hO_DdjpACTrRnrykRQSNB0I4YjyMetQTM (37.8 MB) and the one without the logos ht***tps://mega.co.nz/#!alBlBK6S!K9xlcFweut7ON-5nQ8R2M2k9Vzd4sqYJwa9P2DSmK4I (317 KB) These are exactly as I downloaded them over a year ago. hope this helps as it looks as if the other files are down.
If you look back to post #273 you will see I have posted the file you seek, there is the video tutorial and the "skeleton" files needed to make own OEM disk on local machine. I have 99% of the BIOS files needed to fill the activator also. They are only sent on request if you cannot fulfill your quota.
Hi, the Decryption key was in the link. I added the asterisks because I am under 20 posts. The archives are not password protected if the links were copied to the url bar and asterisks removed. Sorry for the confusion.
