Best way to integrate drivers is through driverpack base...particularly the mass storage and chipset drivers..i mostly integrate them into most of my build and have never face sata problems..

Why would Vmware be looking for hard drive you need to install windows xp from ISO file or cd in Vmware. also VMware is no good for testing integrated drivers you need to test on real machine.

Simple answer is make another virtual machine for XP, also you do have a machine to test on your own you just need to make an image with say acronis and save it on another partition then you can test in real mode and when finished just restore image just make sure you make bootable recovery disk for your imaging program :)

    Pissing me off..

I used RyanVM Integrator and integrated xp updatede back on a clean sp3 oem cd. done, worked fine. Then i copied the OEM folder i made earlier and then integrated driverpacks using Driverpack Base..

That didnt work to well, what went wrong you think? I didnt copy the winnt.sif file, is that necessary?

The oemscan final 2010 only holds roughly 20 brand while MDL has 89 files so I'd like to use my own...

You need the WINNT.SIF to allow use of the $OEM$ folder..

As I mentioned before it was customized addon for my taste, still it contains 44 SLP OEM key (need more, why?) 25 logos and 27 filesets. Just get and add more oem filesets and logos and you'll be pretty much covered.

Yea but now i already have all the oembios files with the crc32 numbers as foldernames only.
You have the oembrand_crcrnumbers, it would mean i would have to do everything again and i dont feel like that :p

Well, i mean..why not to make a fully activating kit with all oembios files we have here at MDL to cover things up hehe.
I also integrated all updates, driverpacks from driverpacks.net and all language packs available for XP hehe..

Besides, friends and family still uses XP so its needed anyway hehe, altho i really like searchengines script for Windows 7;)

    hi,
you must copy both OEM folder and the WINNT.SIF file before you integrate the driverpacks, then only it will work properly..as driverpacks does edit the winnt.sif file..And if you all are interested i can also upload the logo pack along with these files...
