Not really all the hard work has been done by sushil1576 i,e the oemscan.ini with keys you just need to edit that to suite the folders e.c.t.
Yep thats the somewhat hard work.. Ill start figuring things out later, thanks. If i used sushil576's pack.. do i just place logofolders in xpdvd\oem or xpdvd\oem\logos?.. Maybe im just stupid or something but it seems confusing.. Editing or replacing the oemscan.ini isnt hard, nor is placing the oembios files in "oem\filesets\oembiosfolders" or "oem\oembiosfiles" sigh.
Hi, I have updated the first post now..Now you have got two pack,One without oem logos and one with Oem logos and themes..I will also add an ryan Integrator addon later if anyone wants it...It is a must to add all the files in the pack in the iso, otherwise it will not work
Now you don't even need to edit anything ...Just add the Oem folder after putting the oembios filesets...And this includes all the keys for all the version of XP..So you can now use the same OEM folder for all flavours of XP...
@ sushil1576, Thanks for the updated Multi OEM keeping original format, is far better in case program ever gets updated and as you stated no need to edit anything now
@sushil157, great effort, this is exactly how i have been using it for years and how it was intended to be used when developed on MSFN, but honestly I never had the time to include the newer sets, so thanks again! BTW, Great to see my little SetKey.exe still doing its work
@Freestyler and @ Urie,Both of your appreciation means a lot to me..As Freestyler is one of the pioneers of this method...And it does feels great to contribute something back to the community
Hi, I have updated the first post now...Now you also have the MultiOEM Addon which you can integrate with RyanVM integrator...So there are now two methods of creating MultiOEM windows XP Dvd now...Just check the first post on this thread for detailed notes...
Does this method and suicide solution's method to convert retail iso to OEM work for retail XP 64bit SP2 iso as well??
Yes but only once you have converted it to OEM also unlike SP3 with SP2 you need to add serial to Winnt.sif.
Ok, an update! I just tried it (Following method 2) and it works fine I used XP 32Bit OEM CD, integrated onepiece update pack, then your addon, used driverpacks base (integrated masstorage) and then copied the CRCxxxxxx folders to oem\filesets\xp Altho i used searchengines script for installing slic in WMVare, i picked A13 which is HP, but it installed Compaq logo
Nice to hear that it is working..well,the oemscan installs the logos and oemfilesets according to the slp strings in the bios..and moreover some strings for hp and compaq are common,so you may face such things..
The only easy way to circumvent this is to edit the oemscan.ini and put the entry for HP above the entry for Compaq...And the difficult way is to put the exact location of every slp string in the oembios.ini for each and every oem strings, which i am sure is not very easy...so i guess you can choose whichever method you like..
Well yea i can do that if i want to, but atm its not an issue I'll try another SLP string though to do some more testing. Edit: I also added 3rd party driverpacks, think ill test everything even further hehe..
