    Referring to "Next extract your windows 8 32bit iso to the win8 folder then move the install.wim from win8\sources to the x86 folder

    extract your windows 8 64bit install.wim to the x64 folder", did you use "windows 8 core" iso or "windows 8 pro" iso? If you used the second one, it's normal that you got the error 87

    I tried to download the EI.CFG file from the first post and all I get from firefox is -

    Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www (dot) datafilehost (dot) com.

    Is there another site this EI.CFG can be uploaded to please.


    EDIT NEVERMIND I FIGURED IT OUT

    This guide was very useful. I don't think we can legally install Media Center Edition as keys are not out yet. o_O

    I'd try it again. The .iso's size is very strange. I got the same loading error as you did but that was on a small laptop drive I was using, and the error seemed to vanish when I ran the same command from my main drive from the same .iso--can't explain it. Again I'd try making the .iso again making sure you use the ADK kit with only the deployment tools installed as illustrated in the first post.

    Wild guess: ambidav recently added two new commands (the two starting with 'imagex') to help deal with an image naming problem some were running into. I created my .iso before these were added without any problems, so possibly the .iso size has something to do with that. You could try the re-try skipping those two commands.

    Do the exact same as you would for 32 bit, but change the dir to the 64 bit.
    ie:

    Dism /Image:C:\mount /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:C:\win8x86\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
    Dism /Image:C:\mount /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:C:\win8x64\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
    imagex /info "c:\Win8x86\sources\install.wim" 3 "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center" "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center"
    imagex /info "c:\Win8x64\sources\install.wim" 3 "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center (x64)" "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center (x64)"

    I have the wrong version win8. this version is the VL and there is no index: 2 .. only index: 1

    There is a torrent on thepiratebay that contains media center, but it is Spanish language only. Holding out for an English one.
