Then probably something went wrong, mine shows Pro WMC afterwards.

I got the win8 pro upgrade iso for 14.99. It doesn't have install.wim but has install.esd
Does this mean i cant make windows8 AIO with media centre

You can use a standard win iso to do so. After fresh install you have to edit registry string:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Setup/OOBE

Change "MediaBootInstall" from "1" to "0"

after doing that type "slmgr /rearm" into a command prompt, wait for conformation prompt, restart.
    Now activate with your key.
    Regards

I am already installed and activated. My question was can i create a windows8 AIO with media centre iso. I do not have the install.wim but have the install.esd file from the iso downloaded from MS upgrade.
Very sorry for the confusion in my question

Don´t seems it goes that way. You will need (as stated before) a standard iso with install.wim.

What versions of Windows do you need to make this? Windows 8 32 and 64 bit, then Enterprise 32 and 64 bit only? what about Pro?

u should first turn mediabootinstall to 1 first... then use "slmgr.vbs /rearm"... after inserting the key then make mediabootinstall to 0

If you use ATM to restore the activated "upgraded W8-nonVL to ProWMC" files, I don't think it matters which key you use. I used (in autounattend.xml) the gvlkEnterprise key (from the MS key list). Not sure though...

[Sorry, I'm not sure this is what you mean, I have some threads mixed up]

It does matter which key u use... otherwise activation will fail... it didn't matter in ur case because atm reinstalls the key which was installed during backup... I don't know how ent key worked with ProWMC

This trick doesn't work for WMC keys, I tested it. This trick is for clean installing an upgrade version of a base product, such as Windows 8 Pro Upgrade. The WMC keys work like the Anytime Upgrade keys did for Windows 7, it's an edition-upgrade key, as opposed to an OS-upgrade key.

For WMC there is a way by ambidav with unattended install option (i didn´t test so fat) and the option to backup activation of you Pro WMC with ATM. When doing s fresh install with Win 8 Pro WMC ISO (see start post) and restore activation with ATM afterwards. Regards

I'm sorry, yes, that's what I meant: "it didn't matter because ATM reinstalls the key". That's what I was talking about. I only use the Ambidav "Win8ProWMC" with ATM afterward (I run it twice). It didn't work for me to add the key manually (slmgr /ipk).
