What do you mean by that? Once activated the keys allow infinite activations (as usual for retail keys), even after 31. Jan 2013. They only expire if not activated before.
Sorry, I did not get it right then. Then, if the keys are activated, if only once, did I let you activate on different PCs with different installations? That is, if activated, will always use that computer or can be used for different installations?
As usual retail keys are for installation on one machine . They act like bought WMC-Keys, which will be sold after 31. Jan 2013.
Yes, that's right. But I can do clean installs many times as desired on my PC, thanks to you and activate a first time, is not it?
After activating these keys before the date you can do it infinite (in MS terms ). After this date all unactivated keys you have will become useless.
Psssshhttt...., don't tell this to anyone, but with the beautiful new "Win8ProWMC-clean-data.dat" iso, and the free MS keys, Windows 8 is, well... "free" if you get the complete package before feb/1/2013....
so if we got multiple wmc keys we can just reinstall clean and activate a new wmc key and continue to do this till they are all activated??
Will only bind them to one machine, why? Use yours and present the others to good friends or family .
Please explain...? Do you mean it actually has more features than a normal Pro w/ MC? I haven't thought of that, to be honest...
that data.dat file is taken from an activated copy of windows 8 pro. The upgrade key can only be used on a system that has been activated because well its an upgrade key. The data.dat is placed on the install media so when installing the OS it thinks its been activated (in a way) and then will take the upgrade key. The install.wim is just the contence of the windows install. You could all programs and updates as well as the data.dat if you wanted and after the install that would how up. Example if you make the DVD as on first post but when replacing the data.dat also add a file to desktop in the same way then it would show up after the install. If you wanted you dont need to do all of this funny stuff with data.dat u could just install the OS with media center then boot into safemode and replace data.dat and then enter the key. But this is longer than just simply making your own custom install DVD already modded its quicker in the long run. It will save you having to manually replace that file after each install. It just makes for a quicker, cleaner install thats all. It's not needed as such just recommended for quality of life reasons.
