The output File size of my 8 in 1 aio was 4.64GB Which exeeds the requirements to burn on an average dvd5 which has a maximum of 4.37GB
Options are to use an 8GB usb thumb drive or a dvd9 DL, I wouldn't really know what would be safe to remove to reduce the size sorry! maybe someone know :)

You need to do it from inside the Preview or a later build with new adk for Win 8.1 installed :cool2:.

You use the same method you used on 8.0, except you have to use 8.1preview or 8.1final dism.
    Code:
    dism /mount-wim /wimfile:c:\win81\sources\install.wim /index:1 /mountdir:c:\mount
    dism /image:c:\mount /set-edition:ProfessionalWMC
    dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:c:\mount /commit
imagex /flags "ProfessionalWMC" /info c:\win81\sources\install.wim 1 "Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center" "Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center"

I have make an win 8 AIO and have x86 safe mode only.
If can i have both safe modes (x86 + x64) is the best.

    Thanks

    Thanks for this tutorial,

    - Can I create this image of Win 8.1 AIO in a Windows 7 x64 system?
    - Or do I have to install Win8.1 first and install ADK and use the scripts?

If the latter is the case, is there any other application to download to create
    Win8.1 AIO on Win7?

Any help would be much appreciated :)

    Hi everybody,
I have a strange issue, I created today from Win8.1 Pro Iso a Win8.1 iso with WMC integrated.
Creating the iso was no problem. The only problem is I can't install any WMC keys after Installation.
    I get Error 0xc004f061

    1. In Windows 8, open the Registry Editor
    2. Search for MediaBootInstall and set the value to 0.
    3. Open an elevated command prompt (run as administrator) and enter:
      slmgr /rearm
    4. If you get an access denied error message, you’re not running the command prompt with administrator privileges
    5. Restart the computer
    6. Open a command prompt and enter:
      slui 3
    7. Enter your Windows 8 upgrade license key and activate it
This solution does not work, tried this many times.
With Windows_8_wmc.iso I never had this problem. Could install wmc Product keys without problems.
Did Microsoft change this maybe. So someone could only go to wmc version after install Win 8 Pro ???

    Needs a data.dat file from an activated windows 8.1 pro before you can enter a wmc key to activate!! Best to use your own data.dat from an activated win8.1 pro if you have one!! if not u can google for a data.dat or search the forum :}

Using anyone else's data.dat is ill-advised. They could theoretically wipe your system activation out with a simple WAT update to block certain installation ID values from the data.dat
It's really better to do your prowmc method like this:
    Install win8.1 pro
Activate win8.1 pro with retail or oem key.
Upgrade to WMC using your wmc upgrade key.
    Save the %windir%\system32\spp\store\2.0 folder.

Now you can install directly to prowmc and simply copy the 2.0 folder over the old files (data.dat, tokens.dat, cache)
You can even copy the files onto a mounted prowmc index IIRC.

I seriously would avoid using someone else's data.dat. You would likely be vulnerable to not only the wat update, but some strange background errors that most people aren't aware of.
Only people who monitor the eventvwr.msc stuff would likely know the difference.

I totally understand and like I said "Best to use your own data.dat from an activated win8.1 pro"
