I followed similar instructions to make a 7 AIO, an 8 AIO and now/soon an 8.1 AIO. Do these instructions create VL versions of the respective OSes so that I can activate them via KMSPico or MStoolKit? How can I tell if the individual OSes in the AIO are VL or retail? Thank you
Leave out the Enterprise folders and skip the command lines for Enterprise. Also, you have to change the "7" in lines 6 and 10 of the "Next step to convert to ProfessionalWMC" instructions to a "6" and it will work. Also, I would erase the your old win81aio directory (including subdirectories) and re-create it before starting over, as I've had errors when attempting to re-do the image over the top of an old attempt. You will still need a dual layer DVD if you want to burn the .iso onto a disc.
Ok, I have erased folder and started over. Skiped folders enterprise and the two commands for them, and then placed index 6 instead of 7. Still got the same error.
I use the latest deployment tool for 8.1 for sure. I am trying to do this on the Greek iso's. Do you think that it has something to do with it?
Are you actually running the dism executable from the tools folder? if you simply run a dism commandline without being in the correct folder it will run the one in the system32 folder.
The error message on the pic is clear, the image you have selected is already mounted, so unmount it and try again. If no results then try Dism /Cleanup-Wim.
I doubt it. Do you have another system or drive to try it? Seems like the drive you're using might have some residual files or data from the earlier attempts that may be getting in the way.
creating the ei.cfg file containing ... [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 makes any version installed from this disc a VL version????
0 = not VL 1 = VL and you do window 8 the same way... just leave off the 1 of 81 Also it would be best to use Volume License install.wim instead of Retail....wims. then also you would need to change the channel from Retail to Volume.
Guys you should read a little a bit and stop asking 100X the same questions. All informations are here, so search
