I deleted the appropriate .wim file and re-extracted it.

    Cheers all :p

Should i use the retail edition or volume edition, or does it not matter wish edition i use.

One more thing, when i extract the win 8 x86 to the win8 folder, you say in the first post that i should move the wim file to the x86 folder. do you mean copy or cut?

    Thanks

when i reach this command -> Imagex /info c:\win8aio\win8\sources\install.wim 3 "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center" "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center"
I get an error. the error say -> Imagex is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Where did i do something wrong? or do i miss something?

Use DISM commands preferably. Install Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) for Windows 8 (link given in first post) and try again....

    Hmm
Another thing is when i run this last command -> Imagex /info c:\win8aio\win8\sources\install.wim 7 "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center" "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center"
It says that there is allready a name like that "Windows 8 Pro with Media Center" WTF i did everything you said in the first post. very strange

    this is my result

    Windows 8 x86
    Windows 8 Pro x86
Windows 8 Pro with Media Center x86
    windows 8 enterprise x86
    windows 8 x64
    windows 8 pro x64
windows 8 pro x64 -> "Something wrong here"
    windows 8 enterprise x64

I had that error a few times, not with this guide, but with earlier attempts to make aios. What I did was to just add a space to the end of the name of the image, which cured the error.

ambidav: Were these lines above added recently? What does it do and is it necessary? What if you've already completed everything without it?

Update: I think I see--it's just precautionary if you have the problem Bornung1 had, but unnecessary if you didn't have that problem (I never did with the guide before these additions)?

Again, no need to do this over, is there?

I never got the error with the original guide so there shouldn't be any problem with the .iso, should there?
