Yes...steps 2&3 are optional...even if you don't select any option and just put the correct iso's in the folder you will get a pre-activated DVD...Those options are just add-ons that people can use to customise their DVD's...well you must use ULTIMATE retail dvd's to use the script as it is...otherwise you will have to modify the script and the sha1 valuse according to the iso file that you have...you will be prompted for the three editions of windows 7 when you install windows..
Thank for posting back... When I tried it ...I just get cmd message "iso not found" My iso is labbelled as "7600.16385.090713-1255_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCPRFRER_EN_DVD.iso" I tried renaming my iso to the one in the guidebut no good. Do I have the wrong iso...? Ifso could you provide a good torrent link please...? AllI need is pre-activated x86 w7 with the prmpt for choosing which version. Thanks.
Yes I put it in the folder ie same location as the .cmd files. I have noticed there is slight difference in the name ie the GRMCPRFRER as opposed to the GRMCULFRER...would this be the problem..?
Hi I already tried that but still no iso found...I'm guessing the sha1 is different...( I don't know how to change the sha1 value) I am in the process of downloading another version will post the results tomorrow. Thanks.
hi...i think you are using a professional iso of windows 7 but in this script ultimate iso is used as base...so just renaming your iso will not do..you have to change the name of the iso in the script as well as its sha1 values in the script to match that of ur iso's...and if u don't want to use sha1 checking just delete that part of the script..
Hi... I now got the original named iso...and when I click the Make_x32_DVD.cmd a cmd window flashed up for a split second then vanishes....is this correct? I am currently installing this now , however I notice it did not give me the option to install premium etc...it looks like it's a forced install of ultimate? I won't know if it has preactivated until the morning. If I remove the ei.cfg file from the iso ( which will change the sha1 code)...and the change the sha1 code accordingly in the Make_x32_DVD.cmd script... Will I then be able to choose which version I want premium etc...? What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
arg! I am now pulling out my remaining hair...lol Still no good....this is what I am doing.... At the mo I am running these on vista ultimate x86 I have the correct iso and have checked the sha1 ...it is what it should be. I am then putting the iso in the same folder as the dvd kit 2.6.1 ie where all the make xx.cm files are. Then I right click the run as admin Make_x32_DVD.cmd a cmd window appears for a split second then dissappears....It did not rebuild the iso or anything. At this point I assumed it has patched the iso. I then extracted the iso on the hard disk and put the contents onto a bootable usb stick. The ultimate loads (forced ultimate only)...yet it is not activated? Even when I try the manual way and insert Hazars oem file straight into the sources folder on an untouched extracted iso still no good. Any ideas guys...?
Thank you Allo...for pointing that out....I have now got further...but still no good. Ok I have now tried running the script in windows 7...the cmd window appears it says checking iso ....but then after a min, it says checksum failed? Please help Thanks.
hi..Just Do these steps... 1. Get the iso named "7600.16385.090713-1255_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD.iso" for x86 bit and "7600.16385.090713-1255_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.iso" for x64 bit 2. Check the sha1 values of the iso's that you are going to use to see whether they match with those that are posted on the first page of this thread.. 3.Then extract the pre-activation kit on a folder....But MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THIS SCRIPT ON WINDOWS 7 4.Then make sure you have atleast 15GB of free space on the hard disk or on the system partition... 5.Place the iso of the version of windows 7 that you want to create a pre-activated DVD in the extracted Pre-activation FOLDER... 6.To keep things simple don't use any add-ons or options..just place the iso and run the required script with administrative privileges... 7.It will take some time...nearly 15-20 minutes for the entire process and you will have a new iso in that folder... I hope you will be able to now do it properly...cheers
Well the only reason you are getting that message is that the iso that you are using is not original msdn retail version and thats the reason you are getting that message...
