And now we have the rest of the story...Thanks for clarifying and sharing your experiences. I know we had some legitimate Technet and MSDN subscribers worried with the reports in this thread about blacklisted keys. Now it is revealed that it is the "free" Technet and MSDN accounts and keys that are getting blocked, the ones that weren't supposed to be out there anyway.
You did not pay anything kewl like a lot of peeps on here moaning probably opened up fake Microsoft BizSpark accounts. Now account closed
Yes you're right. It was a BizSpark account. I was so "stupid" that I used my real name, and a poor website, and used different email accounts, that was not related to the domain for the website. So they closed my account after a few months. You are also right about the fact that i have no reason to complain, but I was little surprised that they blacklisted my Windows 7 licenses. Before I signup I had seen people from the "free Technet" deal, still have access to their keys. So I did not think they would blacklist any keys from MSDN. But I was wrong.
One key that I sold to a customer on ebay flagged up today suddenly as non genuine, i got worried lol. but my bizpark admin account is still working, so he coudv'e used a altered iso or something.
So, you're one of the dbags who is creating havoc with the EBAY keys. Got news for you, if they flagged one key they are going to flag all of them. Thanks for screwing up a good thing and think of all of the people you sold keys to who are going to flagged non-genuine. Keys don't get flagged as the result of an altered ISO, the get flagged when someone gets their account canceled or MS makes a mistake. People who sale keys are just screwing it up for everyone.
Playing devil's advocate here, but there's a number of things that can cause a machine to go non-genuine unrelated to the key being blacklisted/revoked, i.e. lack of proper connectivity to microsoft at WAT phone-home time (e.g. an overly-protective firewall), the Software Protection service being turned off for some reason ("hey, what does this do?"), etc.
Yes, and they all have specific codes that identify the cause, regardless, if you sell keys on ebay you are a douche bag. Wait a few weeks while all the blocked keys start showing up and you will be agreeing with me. If the error says blocked key then 99.9% of the time it is a blocked key. Besides, the guy acknowledged selling keys on ebay so not only is he a dbag, he is a self admitted dbag. EDIT: Besides what I just wrote, this site is about the challenge, the fun, learning a little. It isn't a warez site and nobody who belongs here does it for profit.
Douchebaggery aside (and I agree selling Technet/MSDN keys is pretty low), the previous poster said that he still had access to his Bizspark account though, and didn't specifically mention that the key was blocked, just that the person the key was sold to went non-genuine. I am well aware that MS is on a Technet/MSDN keyblock frenzy at the moment but if a shady keyseller is circumspect and doesn't sell the same key to multiple people or to people outside his country he's not very likely to get on the radar. Its the stupid ones that are getting caught right now.
As far as I know not and It suck because of the key sellers can stop retail key faster than a mak but have server 2008 r2
I never sold any of my keys, or gave it to somebody. I did not use a @hotmail or @gmail account, but did not use an e-mail that was the same as the domain for the website. And my site was not a business site, so they most likely took a look, and closed down my account. They have now blacklisted all of my normal Win7 licenses (Starter, Basic, HP, Pro and Ultimate) and they have blacklisted my XP Pro KN licenses. All other licenses is working still. But it is not a big problem, I'm now using the loader from Daz on all my virtual test computers (with VM SLIC 2.1 BIOS and serts), and I have got SLIC 2.1 BIOS on both of my old laptops I'm using everyday. And on my new laptop I'm using on travels I already have SLIC 2.1. I'm thinking about buying a Technet account, so I have some legit keys, but I will wait to they have blacklisted all of my keys. So long I still can use my Server 2008 and Office 2007 licenses I'm happy.
I've purchase this CD Key from ebay. First time I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate, it was installed and activated successfully. But this time I have to reinstall Windows 7, unfortunately, I cannot activate and there is message that CD Key has been blocked to use. I don't understand why it is genuined but cannot activate. Please help me.
some how M$ found out what the key was, probably from EBAY so it was genuine at first but they blacklisted it later. That is the only thing I can think of. Have you tried PayMyRent's Ultimate Retail Key?
Hey... Chalk this one up to experience. Cut your losses and move on. This key has been identified by Microsoft as fraudulently obtained. There is nothing that can be done to fix it. For everyone else who needs this lesson spelled out clearly. DO NOT buy Microsoft Product keys on ebay.
