I'm positive and it only takes a couple days to confirm. Just stop using loader and trial will continue. Start using loader and trial will freeze otherwise you'd heard of a million people when they switch builds that their all in notification...lol And we haven't' heard that. I happen to know this cause I would test IR4 and loader on same machine and there is no count down when loader is being used :p

However it doesn't matter anymore since IR4 resets your rearms and trial in 2-5 minutes...lol

I think that while the loader is installed the trial days remain the same, I've not actually paid attention though and with this being my test system the loader gets uninstalled and installed on a regular basis so I can't be 100%.

The good news is theres no ill effect. If you install the loader once your trial is up then the system will be activated and you just have to set the background again, easy stuff :p

For them wanting to know you don't have to uninstall the older version of the loader when installing the new version. Sometimes you may just want to take a look into the profile tab, maybe theres a new SLIC, certificate or serial that best suits your system.

Just in general, is it better in some way to match the OEM with the actual machine, such as (in my case) Samsung, for example, if one has a Samsung computer? Is there some kind of performance or speed gain by the newer updates, say to go from 1.8.8 to a later version? I'm a little confused about that.

Bunch of hooey. The loader does not magically freeze time. If you install (and successfully activate) on day one of a 30 day trial, and uninstall 45 days later for example, you will get a "must activate today" message in the system panel, and a non genuine watermark from WAT. Been there, done that.

PS: Reinstalling the loader and a couple of reboots will straighten the situation out.

Yeah, I rearmed Windows 7 about 2 days ago when I thought I had a problem with Daz's WL (silly mistake on my part involving Comodo) anyway today I uninstalled WL 1.8.9 again & when I rebooted to install WL 1.9 it said I had 28 days remaining so yeah like you already said it does not freeze the countdown of the trial.

 Not one time have I tested or heard of someone's trial lessoning during loader use ;) Every time I used loader and I've testing Daz loader for 11 months, I'd noticed every time I installed a new loader or took a break no "trial" time had passed and Daz said same thing here ;)

Trial is trial and being activated is being activated. They act differently :p

I did a fresh install of Win7 + loader a few hours ago, and will have an answer when I uninstall the loader in a couple days.

I still think it is a bunch of hooey. The trial countdown starts on the day of install (or rearm), and the loader doesn't interrupt the countdown. If I'm wrong, I will tell you in a few days ...

Ok thanks for testing so I don't have to ...lol And it's just something I've noticed When I reinstalled loader and did a slmgr /dlv and it said the same days left so...

See you in couple days :p...lol

I'm so excited to find out ...lol

But still think being activated does stop countdown :p

Well, it is only one day later. When I boot yesterday's creation normally, it shows activated in system panel.

When I hold down "r" key while rebooting, select boot without loader option, it says 29 days to activate.

    Seems clear enough to me.

Well that's proof enough I guess but after having run loader for say a couple months when I started using my tool IR4 it should have been in notification according to your truth regarding this and I always uninstalled loader not just clicked r at boot. I was not once at notification nor did I ever have to rearm to get out of notification so I'm stumped and hate to think my experience is "hooey"...lol

I fired up the loader app and clicked the uninstall button. Uninstalling this way seems to restore the trial key. I thought it might reset me to 30 days. It did not - I'm still at 29.

I'm stumped then. Even Daz thought no trial passage occurs and even though I never experienced any trial duration loss regarding grace period status while being activated...well I give up...lol

After reading all the replies, looks like whatever the time remains on the first day you arm Win7, it will not matter as long as you have WL in your system, right?
