Gorski ...... If i went to far with my sense of humor i apologise . You surely didnt choose to be ill .

I was talking to a philosopher = I think therfore i am = I am what i do = If i dont like what i am do something else ...... forgeting that you didnt choose to be ill . Talking with a sense of humor = A big weapon and a help for people in s**t situations .

What happened to you ? How did you get the injurys ? Did you have an MRI before ?

MRI? Once and it was excruciating, as I couldn't move and 3 vertebrae in my neck were squashed, the pain drove me mad, as it pressed a nerve and I was told "not a single twitch"! Took 6 months to heal, with terrible pain-suppressors.

Then the lower back (sciatica) and the same recovery period, the same pain relief and feeling useless...

Before that a twisted knee (basketball injury) - it took me 12 months to walk normally, 15 to start running very slowly and gingerly...

Similarly, I twisted my ankle on a basketball court, ended up in a hospital all night 'till I got a scan and some help and another year lost...

I could go on but what's the point? I had aplenty of those in the period - just between my firstborn came to this Earth (2010) and now...

Before that series of injuries and illnesses started, I was running over 25 mins at 10 - 12 - 14 - 12 - 10 km/hr, having a really good stretching session, then lifting almost 50 tons a session, 3 times a week, in a gym in Sweden. Fellow gym goers asked me if I was a triathlon freak... Just before holidays, I went for a b-ball session, just to relive some stress and wallop... it started... As it does, as one gets older and more prone to injuries and illnesses (not even mentioning any of that!), the recovery times get longer... arrrghhh!!!!

Please, learn from this and think carefully before you unleash your bulldog-like approach to discussions...

1 - >Please, learn from this and think carefully before you unleash your bulldog-like approach to discussions...

Remember Plato and Samuel Johnson ? I learnt that they both used a tactic ......... Plato got his posy talking about something and then said ........ ' Why ' ? ......... or threw an argument / viewpoint into an argument ( Debate / discussion ) ......... as a seed ......... to get the posy to understand something / answer their own questions / solve their own problems .

Johnson did the same ....... he went into pubs and listened to ' normal ' people talking and then threw an idea / word into the conversation .......... = real life philosophy ...... without the endless word games / semantics that philosophy has largely become .

Thats part of my strategy . ( wich isnt perfect :) ) ---- > I ' live ' on a planet full of crazy people and morons . That have s**t the planet full and ' thinks ' that it can save itsef by doing exactly what it did to f**k itself .......... and ask myself why ? ........ and what can we do about it ?

Why ? = Because we've been bred thick . The whole power structure is , and always has been led by the people in power for the people in power against the interests of the biosphere ......and that's reflected in the ' education system ' = Poor people learn to acept their poverty and take orders ...... and that they are ' free ' and have something to say :)

What can we do about it ? = Wake the f**k up and do it ourselves = Start to think for ourselves ...... and realise our position = (in)Humanity is in its puberty and needs to finaly stop haveing a free party trying to distract itself from its own problems and grow up . We have a theoretical chance of survival = Use it or die . Grow up or die .

= My / your / our security ...... ( The security of the biosphere ) my human rights and dignity depend on other people wakeing up ........ ? and understanding themselves and basic philosophy ....... without mile long verbal acrobatics ...... in a way that joe public can understand ...... for example ...... in this case ---- > ' Whats happening , why is it happening and what can the consequences be ' ?

Wich comes down to listen to the science and not the polytricks ...... that (in)humanity learns to take its own responsibility .......... for what it has done and is doing ....... and ....... another example = That we stop trying to big ourselves up in the net by spreading confusion , conspiracy theorys and styelised trolling trying to shoot eachother down and score ego points . Good example = Threads about corona where some people take it seriously and others deliberately post psycho s**t = Spreading confusion , ignorance = divide and rule and therby make the problem worse ........ when we need to grow up .

2 - MRI = Like ' The man in the iron mask ' lieing under a tank with its motor running ? :)

3 - The knee and ankle problems could come because the nerves in your spine are crushed ....... wich can make a person ' wobly ' on their feet without them noticing and because of that their ankles and knees give way sometimes . Did your doctors talk about diagnosis , prognosis and therapy ?

I carefully asked because i have the same / something similar and dont know if youve had to face the same reality ...... my knies and ankles give way and its like standing on raw bent stretched muscle ...... i had elastic socks , shoes , boots up to the knie and nothing worked ...... there were also other problems and the doctors had no idea ....... untill i had two MRIs ...... first one with my head in a ' vice ' ...... 20 minutes like being run over by a tank ........ no problems ....... the second one was 45 minutes ...... now the doctors understand that all the symptoms came from one cause = My spinal cord is crushed and leaking fluid ...... and so are two discs ....... my prognosis is sooner or later paralysed from the neck down ...... There is a ' chance ' = an operation wich if sucsessfull will stop the problems getting worse but not heal anything ......... theres a 50 % chance that the operation doesnt work ....... and a 50 % chance that the operation puts me in a wheelchair paralised from the neck down . A few weeks ago i had to have a third MRI and am now waiting for an apointment so they can compare it to the first one = A s**t situation .

I was trying to show empathy to someone who might be in the same situation ....... with the same ' choice/s ' :)

Thanx for asking... (Very unusual, that somebody asks about my health and a welcome novelty for me, so I owe you a big drink, if we ever meet!!! :) )

They found nothing, so on the upside we know that at least there is no tumour, which is great... In fact the specialist consultant said he has never seen, in any of his patients, such a fine brain, as mine....:D:p:D Moreover, he said that radiologists always find something to complain or warn about - but not in my case, nothing whatsoever, one for the textbooks, so there...:p

The downside, though, means we're back to square one, if the huge, totally debilitating stabbing pain comes back... For now I am trouble free but.... one never knows...:(o_O

On the other hand, I bought a basketball hoop and started slowly... I had a right hand nagging pain (probably mouse and wrong mouse-pad), so I started shooting with my weaker, left hand. Once I managed 18 out of 20 free-throws, so quite chuffed with that, for now.. ;)

:) ...... thats cool :) ......... empathy isnt a probklem for me ......... sounds like its either trapped nerves being squeezed or some sort of learnt pain response that doesnt functioin properly . Maybe something like pain memory . At least now you know that you havent got brain cancer or brain damage :) ...... and basketbal is cool ....... i think swimming is good because it takes the weight off the body ...... and the muscles that hold the body upright get a rest and strengthened at the same time :) ...... and all those 18 year olds with C cups ...... :) ........ and nurses in tght tshirts and leggins .........

That's right, I love swimming and it is great when you start heavy... Alas, with Corona it is not an option, my club is closed...

So, I must start differently, improvise.... and hope for the best....

Leave the 18 year olds alone... FOR ME!!!!! :p

I'd forgoten that :) ......... after months and a hard search a mate has found a pool thats open ....... but he has to stand in a que at 7 in the morning to get in because they only let a few people in at a time , he must give name and adress and sign a form that he hasnt got corona ...... and the cabins get disinfected every time someone goes in or out .

Hmmmm ...... ' Be prepared ' ? ......On my honour i promis that i will ....... ? ....... I liked the uniforms ......... untill i realised that we were just being prepared to take orders and serve :)

Physics says that the speed of light is a constant ........ and then tells us that the universe is expanding faster than the speed of light ......... obviously they havent thought about the only universal and timeless constant i know = ALL men like C cups :)
