NO windows search is not affected by the Cortana removal. You're confusing it with search2 wich is the cortana companion and which should be removed PURPOSELY. Just use Classic Shell to search quickly inside the start menu.

This tool just simplify the Uninstall process using "install_wim_tweak" , of course you can do it with command-line , exactly the same Process , please look at the "abbodi1406" example
Some malicious programs using defender control cmd commands to disable windows defender and this creates a security vulnerability, therefore "Defender Control" had False Positive issue.If we allow bulk usage , False positive alerts may come back again. It seems this is a vicious circle.we are currently monitoring the situation.
