Some software companies (internally) spread the news by email, that the latest(?) Windows Defender Update changed the way of how "single files" are beeing processed. Especially on so called "back up routines" regarding databases/SQL/7Zip etc. it can end up in terrible slowdowns, while the Re-Scanning-Defender might trigger timeouts on such backups in the software itself. Is there any up to date news about this "Special Defender Update" ? Because also these companies wont/dont reveal any special details or KBs. (So maybe the problem is on their side?) Over the years I have learned that many companies pointed directly and Defender when network/software problems occured, without ever giving out furhter details. (ya ya I know Defnder sucks...for some) I also havent realized any slowdowns or timeouts (yet).
