Delete File Associations

    I was searching for a program on my desktop to open a .tff and I clicked on Firefox instead of Photoshop. I was able to right click it and change it to Photoshop but now and forever more the Firefox icon seems to be in the right click and Open with menu. Call it OCD but I do not like extraneous links and file associations to be.

    How can one go about removing Firefox from that menu?

    regedit
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.tff
    you will find subkey OpenWithList (sometimes OpenWithProgids)
    delete FF of the list

    Thank you so much!

    I had to delete the whole .tff file and restart before I was able to actually see it. After the restart I did see Firefox and I was able to remove it.
