Already tried, it works for all other files or folders but not this one. This one keeps being the property of trustedinstaller.
it looks like you are trying to delete them from withn Vista, doesn't trustedinstaller.exe runs as NT SERVICE. Maybe simple fix take ownership with Windows 7 and not Vista account
The problem is trustedinstaller is to prevent the entire OS (both users and system accounts) from changing the files. That is why I it will be easier to remove it when VISTA is not running. Take ownership with Windows 7 and delete with Windows 7. Just guess, does no make sense ?
Well it was maybe a wim image but a ghost one. Windows showed folders and executables inside that folder, but in reality it was a 0 kb folder.
imagex Using WAIK Deployment Tools Command Prompt. Run this: imagex /cleanup should fix the issue. Regards Patrick I have blogged about it here: blog.interrogate.com.au
I know. but it comes up in google. so I thought it would be good for others to know how to fix the issue. as this was the only thread i found on it.
