Dell 1555 slic 2.1+ cert. + slp

Discussion in 'Windows 7' started by EvgeniyDragunov, Nov 17, 2009.

    Hello all,

i flashed bios on dell 1555 with A08 official.

I need a certificate that matches my bios.

I have "2.1 BIN & 2.0 Certificate" RAR but inside on dell certificate says "DELL-DELL-2.0.*"

Can i use that one or should i do something else.

I cant figure out what the *.bin files are for.

    Many Thanks

As far as I know, there is no DELL 2.1 certificate available yet. The SLIC.BIN is available in 2.1 but not the matching certificate.

Therefore, you will not be able to use the OEM activation to activate either Vista or Win 7.

    Sorry..

If your BIOS does have SLIC 2.1 in it , then the Dell 2.0 Certificate will activate Win 7.
Many, many people are using a modded DELL Slic 2.1 BIOS with Dell 2.0 Cert as I type with NO problem at all.
The DELL.BIN file is the SLIC 2.1 that is used by the Mod tools to insert SLIC 2.1 into a BIOS Mod.
If there are any more .BIN files they are probably BIOS Modules used to mod the BIOS as well.

    1.) Use that one
2.) You don't need the bin file if your bios is already SLIC 2.1 (as long as it was originally sold with Vista or Win7...)

  5. Now i get it bins are for loaders only.

btw this one is the number 16 bios mod going for the 17.

Bios A08 should already contain SLIC 2.1.
All you need to do now is flash the bios. then install certificate and use oem slp key (you can find both items in my signature).

  7. Done that yesterday.

    It works fine.

Now we will see for how long.
