I know this has been answered before but I am unable to understand the "steps" to achieve this. So what I want to do is, install 2012 on dell server and have it activated (for educational purposes only).
what I have is a dell 1950 with latest bios, 2.7. I have server 2012 disc. Can someone point me to instructions on how to make a dell oem installation disc so it can then be installed on the 1950 and be activated?

dont think your pe 1950 will get bios upgrade with slic 2.2 :( i have one pe r710 from 2009 with latest bios and this have only slic 2.1 and i have a pe r310 from 2011 this have slic 2.2

so a loader or kms is the best choice i think. i see you use Server 2012 Datacenter is this a real dell dvd
