    Hello guys,

just got myself a preinstalled WIN8 Dell laptop...

Problem is when user logs on i have white screen. (cant even run task manager).

All I could find was i need to run Dell backup and recovery from the runing system what is so stupid.

Win7 could run recovery Using F8 on preinstalled machines.

So how can I run recovery(factory) before system starts?

    Thx in advance...

That is like it is on W7 but in my case F8 didnt work for some odd reason.

I managed to shift restart from login screen.

Im so glad i dint put this on my machine... and never will.

Please excuse my confusion. Are you talking about Windows 8? You say it came preinstalled. If so, a factory install will reinstall it. Installing Windows 7 would require media that isn't on your laptop.
