I have a dell inspiron 531 the bios has been updated an only has slic 2,0 installed, I have got a windows 7 pro dell recovery disk if i install the dell bios mod for this computer would I have a valid install of windows 7 using that recovery disk as this computer has the factory windows vista inastalled at the moment. thanks in advance
yes if u have dell slic 2.1 in bios it should. it dont mater the source of disk because u can install cert and key after a generic win7 install. daz windows loader does this auto.. without bootloader if it detects slic 2.1 important for inspiron 531 .. make a bios backup before flashing.. if it fails u have to use backup with floppy or cd and end or home key.
