you can remove the master password by clearing the CMOS on the D630 and others as well by removing the keyboard and unplugging the 3 volt CMOS battery just make sure that you remover the ac adapter and battery also while the CMOS battery is unplugged hold the power button down for 30 secs following these steps will fix your issue here you can have directions:

It hasn't solved my problem. Any other idea or just a password for reseting master password could anyone share with me? BIOS version is A17 version. Do i need to downgrade it? My computer is dell latitude d630 with service tag 6CXDM3J-595B.

Hello, I just purchased a Dell 630 laptop from a thrift store. I checked the entire threads here for the HDD password recovery. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this?
I already figured out the Bios Password thanks to a few people with the links provided. It's the HDD Password that follows which is giving me issues at this point.
Here is my info:

Dell 630 Latitude with tag number: 8581VF1-595B. My HDD S/N is 5NJ0rQLE-595B. If there's a password generator, please assist.

EDIT: Also, my Bios version is A12.
