Just a wild guess, but if you're using the same "DELL-595B Bios Master Key Generator" as I am, it will not work correctly with other than -595B tags. 1. Run with valid -595B tag first. Leave window open. 2. Run with that -2A7B tag above which gave the oversized key. Leave window open. 3. Finally, run with valid -595B tag used in first run. Notice different keys in 1. and 3. Surprised? The extra 8 chars after master key are lefovers from previous failed attempt.
I have one that is supposed to be updated to use with 595B, D35B, and 2A7B tags, which one do you have? File: dell.exe CRC-32: 5885d75b
Mine is different. Size is 5,632 bytes. Perhaps the old version?: MD5: d94630a3a04a45524049be5fb4e3f25e SHA1: 092911fa1ce1843a3b9d93dfa4890ab69a7a0343 CRC32: 6bca320d When I find time, I'll check online if I can find more recent.
I happen to have a copy of that one too. I have it marked as being updated as well, and they both give the same results. They both came straight from dogbert's blog.
well the password you stated above should read KDPAL2Cm NOT KDPA12CM, which could be why it is not working for the Master admihnistrator password if that is the one you need.
Am going nuts on a Dell Latitude D630, service tag C0PLJH1 (that's zero, not oh), bios v. A13. Need administrative password to get into BIOS. Thanks!
