BIOS ? SMOS ? bakup please help ! Hi, I hope you can help ! I know your post is a little bit old... but maybe still working. Here is my problem. We want be able to do the complete configuration of one bios on Dell Optiplex 760. Then, we want be able to backup that config into a file. Later, if we have other computer bios to set up, we want import the config we just backup and restore it into any other dell 760 we have. But the problem, we cannot find any programme to do it. And the file we created O760-A05.HDR is around 3MB. So, it's not possible to put it into a floppy. And when we put it into the usb drive, the system don't reconize it. and maybe, the setup made in our bios are not save into the bios backup... how I can save all the setting made in our bios to put it into a other machine ?
I updated with BIOS v A16 but in everest SLIC its showing UNKNOWN :-s @Busykid508 Thanks bro, So could i update with A17 or left it with A16?
Yes, I was aware of that limitation with the Phoenix tool. That's why the request was put out to "super-modders"!! Hopefully, somebody will be able to unravel this mystery (and potentially for other non-SLIC DELL bioses)
The XPS 700 one works flawlessly. Thank you! Ive been trying to figure out why this damn crack wasnt working for hours! D:
Just as a FYI Dell Precision Workstation T3400 A09 BIOS has SLIC 2.1 built in! Same goes for T3500 A03 BIOS. I think the mod requests for old Dells should be moved off into a new thread for simplicity's sake...
Well, I am considered a "super modder" and what he is trying to tell you is this: THIS FILE CANNOT BE MODIFIED IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM because only DELL PHOENIX FILES with a slic of v2.0 can be modified. Your bios is a DELL PHOENIX BIOS which was issued prior to Vista and therefore, there is NO SLIC 2.0 in your bios by which a SUPER MODDER can modify it.... In otherwords, this has nothing to do with the limitations of the Phoenix Mod Tool and you are s**t out of luck and will need a loader to activate windows.
@Kumeipark, Thanks for your help and time. I will test Dell A10 BIOS for Inspiron 9400/E1701 and respond.
