    You need to use the Rearm command, then try imputting your key in again.
    i got that problem, for some reason ages ago and thats how i fixed it.

    once you run the rearm command, reboot your system then try the key imput command again.

    Retail and OEM are the same but with OEM you use certificate. Is slick 2.1 in bios are you using dell certificate ?

    I got the D420 bios from somebody, i want to make sure the file is ok, does anyone offer the md5/crc/sha1 code of the D420 bios ?

    I means that maybe something incorrect during transport. I want to check the md5/sha1 code.

    I flashed the D420 rom, it worked ok,and the slic is 2.1 now.

    When I did it with Inspiron 6400 the same way, I was unlucky. Here is the SLIC table:

    I'm not sure what had happend. The bios was successfully updated by MM061A17.exe in dos mode.

    Can you give me any hint or you need more info?
